Preparing for the Bicentennial Celebration

20060614

Over the past year preparations have been underway for a once in a lifetime celebration. A group of friends and neighbors spending an afternoon together painting signs for the Bicentennial is just one example of these preparations.

The essence of Clifford township is the long tradition of its people working together to make the community better for all through efforts that continue today in many ways… the fire company and its picnic, tree planting projects, improving the township building, the development of a recreation center, etc… none of it possible without community support and volunteer efforts.

The Bicentennial Steering Committee is grateful to the Clifford Township Community Alliance, the Clifford Township Volunteer Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary, the Clifford Township Historical Society, Inc., the Mountain View Garden Club, local churches and individuals who have volunteered their time on projects to make the celebration memorable and special!
