Recent sunsets have caused the sky to burst into vibrant color: brighter, redder, yellower than usual. It must be the perspective the sun has on the neighborhood this time of year, causing the horizon to be very far away, giving the sun’s rays more atmosphere to travel through, mellowing their brilliance into warm gold by the time they pour over dusk.

The full Beaver Moon rises tonight obscured by clouds, rain, and maybe even a bit of snow. Even given such obscurations, tonight will be brighter than a clear night with no moon at all.
