Artist Statement
“Imagination should be used not to escape reality but to create it.” Everyone loves to escape and get lost in a good movie. The iconic and cult classics have a special way of enveloping us into the story and make us believe that what is fiction is fact. The pieces in “Stranger than Fiction” try to achieve just that. What started out as a personal side project just for laughs, quickly evolved into something bigger. By bringing iconic scenes of the movies to local and native NEPA landmarks and mixing them with fine art photography, breathes new life into both the movie reference and scene to something everyone who’s from the area and loves movies can relate too.
