11th Annual Local Author’s Luncheon

The 11th annual Local Author’s Luncheon to benefit the Forest City Library will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Elkview Country Club, Crystal Lake.

This year’s featured author is Barbara J. Taylor. Ms Taylor was born and raised in Scranton, PA, and taught English in the Pocono Mountain School District for 31 years. She has an MFA in creative writing from Wilkes University where she wrote her debut novel, Sing in the Morning, Cry at Night, a Publishers Weekly “Best Book of Summer 2014.” Her second novel, All Waiting Is Long, is a stand-alone sequel in what will be a trilogy. She is currently working on book three.

The annual luncheon is sponsored by the Novel Woman Book Club and will start with a time of hospitality at 11:30. Lunch will be served at 12:15 followed by the speaker and a book signing. There will also be a raffle held in conjunction with the luncheon which will also benefit the library. The cost is $25 and checks can be made payable to Forest City Library and mailed to 531 Main Street, Forest City 18421 by September 20.
