Strawberry 5K

The National Running Center in Clarks Summit will sponsor a 5K run/ walk and a kids fun race on Saturday June 20 in downtown Abington Registration begins at 730 and race at 830. Winners in each category will receive a strawberry pie in conjunction with the Strawberry Day activities being offered by the Running Center and The Gathering Place,an organization working to renovate the old Clarks Summit firehall into a community arts and education center. After the race kids games will be offered for all ages and baked goods, jellies and jams plus fresh strawberry shortcake will be sold.
