Autumn Frost

Dawn left a 26 degree morning in it’s wake; afternoon shines brightly under a clear blue 72 degree sky.

Brilliantly colored leaves foil blades of pale grass and faded goldenrod as they shed their coat of frozen, lifeless silver in deference to the rising sun.

Not yet Winter, not still Summer; contrasts abound!

No rain in the forecast until sometime next week, Elk Mountain Fall Festival, Susquehanna County Annual Artists’ Open House Weekend, Steamtown Marathon, music and food at several venues throughout the holiday weekend.

Time to get out, dry out, and enjoy what looks to be a great stretch of Indian Summer!
